Earlier this week, THRDC was delighted to participate in the meeting between NGOs Networks and the Office of Registrar of NGOs under the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Special Groups. This meeting was coordinated by the Office of Registrar and TANGO aiming at discussing challenges facing the sustainability of NGOs in Tanzania and deliberate possible solutions whereby both parties (The government and NGOs) could work together to solve these challenges.

Representing the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry; Hon. Vickness Mayao assured that, the government is keen on promoting a harmonious partnership, and pledged to facilitate open communication channels, enabling a more collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The meeting marked a crucial step towards fortifying the foundation for a robust and dynamic civil society.

THRDC sustains its initiatives to champion inclusive vision, actively crafting an enabling environment for Civil Society Organizations. We are dedicated to widening the civic space, we strive to empower and amplify the voices of those driving positive change.

In 2023, we reached out to 2,500 NGOs across the country, we continue to build a stronger civil society sector.
