The Tanzania Human Rights Defenders Coalition (THRDC) has participated in a working group meeting to collect views on amendments to Regulations under the Political Parties Act and the Tanzania Electoral Expenses Act. The working session organized by the Federation of Associations of Persons with Disabilities Tanzania (SHIVYAWATA) was held on April 26-27, 2024, at the Lion Hotel, Sinza Dar es Salaam. 

The main objective of the meeting was to analyze the mentioned regulations and provide suggestions for improvements to enable the regulations to reflect the needs and inclusion of persons with disabilities in politics in the country.

Representing the THRDC Defenders with Disabilities Initiative, Mr. Emmanuel Majeshi actively participated in making important recommendations to those regulations
