On 18th June 2025, THRDC held an engagement meeting with the Embassy of Sweden, focusing on the urgent need for national consensus on electoral matters. THRDC emphasized the importance of inclusive dialogue involving the government and all electoral stakeholders to address key issues related to democracy, human rights, and recurring electoral irregularities that have raised concern among various actors.

The meeting also highlighted the key recommendations recently submitted by THRDC to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and to the public. These recommendations aim to strengthen democratic processes and safeguard the integrity, fairness, and credibility of elections in Tanzania.
