Kick off our CSOs Manifesto dissemination visit to political parties offices in Tanzania

We are thrilled to kick off our CSOs Manifesto dissemination visit to political parties offices in Tanzania to desperately communicate our 2024-2029 CSOs Manifesto in a face of strategic engagements with Policy makers.

Our visit started by captivating the manifestos' objectives with the Alliance for Change and Transparency (ACT Wazalendo) and CHAUMA, with a clear focus for them to incorporate the recommendations gathered from more than 300 CSOs in Tanzania for their upcoming election Manifesto.

During a constructive discussion, Mr.Onesmo Olengurumwa, National Coordinator THRDC, highlighted the CSOs Manifestos' Priority areas including a clear demand for a New Constitution and Human Rights, he is confident that, these priorities will be incorporated in political parties Manifestos' including ACT Wazalendo and CHAUMA.

On the other side, ACT Wazalendo leaders,  Dorothy Jonas Semu, the Vice Chairperson for ACT, and Ado Shaibu, General Secretary for ACT, acknowledged the vital role played by CSOs in developing this Manifesto and involving ACT as part of potential stakeholders.

Ado Shaibu said, Most of the CSOs narrated  recommendations are clearly stipulated in their Manifesto as well, therefore its a good point of coincidence to speak a common language in addressing the Nation's development and pressing issues.

The Chairperson for CHAUMA was happy to find that the CSOs Manifesto addressed the food security issues  and other social services sectors as this neatly coincides their Manifesto's Priorities.

Since 2015, CSOs have been working in developing these LGA and General election Manifesto in making sure that most of citizens' concerns are clearly communicated to Policy makers and policy actors as well.

This Manifesto serves as a guide for those seeking to lead, ensuring that they prioritize key social, economic, human rights, political, and cultural issues that benefit the public, contribute to the Nation's development and taking a lead to the Tanzania that we want.
