Today November 26, 2022, the Tanzania Human  Rights  Defenders  Coalition (THRDC)  in collaboration with the International Center for Non-Profit Law(ICNL) and the American Bar Association (ABA) are hosting a two-day judicial officer’s workshop at Unguja and Pemba, which will facilitate a constructive discourse among  Judicial officers  aimed at reflecting on their role in ajudicating human rights cases.

The two day session brings together officials of the High Court of Zanzibar, including the Chief Justice of the Zanzibar, and other stakeholders including the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), the office of the Commissioner of Police, as the Zanzibar Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Authority (ZAECA)

The discussion aims to facilitate discussion on promotion of the right to freedom of expression, media rights, access to information and Privacy rights in this digital era.
