It was an honor for THRDC to coordinate the meeting between The African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights (ACHPR) and the President of the United Republic of Tanzania H.E.Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan @samia_suluhu_hassan. 

The Coalition extends appreciation to the Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs (MOCLA) for cooperation. The meeting was participated by Hon. Remy Ngoy Lumbu the Chairperson of ACHPR; Onesmo Olengurumwa-THRDC National Coordinator;  Hassan Shire-The Executive Director of Pan African Defenders Network; Hon. Joaquine De Mello-THRDC Board Chair, Nuru Maro-Advocacy Officer. Amongst the agendas were to discuss the possibility of the Tanzanian Government hosting the 77th Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights in Tanzania, the situation of human rights and human rights defenders in the United Republic of Tanzania.
