The Tanzania Human Rights Defenders Coalition (THRDC) is delighted to inform the public that it has recently acquired a grant of Euros 256,539/- (equivalent to TZS 650 Million) from Protection International – Kenya.

This grant is aimed at supporting THRDC’s interventions towards improving constructive collaborations between Civil Society Organizations and National Authorities in Tanzania, to foster their respective mandates. This project will last for 12 months.

Throughout the entirety of this project therefore, THRDC will partner with HRDs (including Women and Youth), HRDs Networks, Networks of National Human Rights Institutions like the Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG), National Authorities (Policy Makers, Law Enforcement Agencies, Judiciary et.c), CSOs, Human Rights Defenders’ families and their respective communities, and the general public.

Its worth noting that, THRDC has always been a strong advocate for improved relations among Human Rights Defenders, the Government and the Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG) in Tanzania. We believe in improved partnerships, for improved national development and the absolute protection and promotion of human rights in Tanzania.
